Dear Blog Friends,
We finally corrected our resource page for Judaeo-Christian Ministries,Inc. This is a resource page of valuable Internet sites most of which are Christian or Christian related. We had not update this page since 07-11-2007 and it had some slipped links. The slipped links did not show the correct website, but were the website of the link above.
The name of the file is TLCbookmark – Bible032012.htm Notice that the last part of the file has the last update of the file. Thus the “032012” indicates an update of the file as March 20, 2012.
If you wish to use this file to access Internet sites, we are posting a .pdf file with the same name which you can download for your use.
We hope to correct this at sometime. However, it may not be an important matter so that may be greatly delayed. We believe you will benefit from all the current website links. There are two or three more posts that had many good links. We may connect them to this one for your convenience. There are many excellent lists of resources on Christian internet sites. And since we do not believe in re-inventing the Wheel https://bibleresourceman.wordpress.com/re-invent-the-wheel/ and we also believe as Adam Osborne said, “Adequacy is sufficient, all else is irrelevant!”
We started collecting website links long before many of these other excellent Christian websites links appeared. We do not believe in duplicating what others have already done. Judaeo-Christian Ministries, Inc. was Incorporated in 1982 with the distinct purpose of Assisting Believers in Developing a Biblical Worldview and Biblical Lifestyle. Since that time there have been many great Christian ministries that have come into existence who perform this function. Seemingly, prior to that time there were many and sundry disjoined parachurch ministries that performed a one legged function of benefit of the Church of God. Now there are a large number of such biblical ministries that promote a wide Judaeo-Christian Worldview and Lifestyle. We applaud this and do not resent their accomplishments. In fact, we want to assist any such ministries. We believe that there is still room and need for the concepts of our Judaeo-Christian Ministries. We do not believe that we can be all things to all men, but we believe in trying. We adhere to the wonderful purpose and goal which the Apostle Paul stated regarding himself:
“I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some. 23 And this I do for the gospel’s sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you.” 1 Cor 9:22-23 (KJV)
We have great hopes for you. We believe that the Christian ethic is a “Win-Win” situation. Every person that we help is also a help to us and to all others. We do not wish to prosper at the expense of others, but to serve as many people as we can in the will of the Lord Jesus Christ. D.L. Moody once said, “I would rather put 10 people to work for the Lord, than do the work of 10 people.” Even though Mr. Moody had little formal education, he was a very wise man. I attribute that to his knowledge of Holy Scripture. When he went to secure a President of his new school he picked R.A. Torrey because he knew that R.A. Torrey was a great and wise Christian. Moody never felt threatened by the greatness of others. This was one of his great virtues and one of the primary reasons that God used him.
God has blessed the work of Moody Bible Institute for many years. They are now considered a college or University. Hopefully, this rise to academic standing will not twist and distorted there need for humility before God and His people. However, there are many, many great theological institutions that have gone the way of all flesh. All of the early Ivy League colleges and universities were initially found for the express purpose of training Christians for the service of God. Many are now only secularized shells of what they once were. We must always be careful about our successes. When we become successful we may forget about God even when in His service.
Remember what the Apostle Paul said, “Knowledge puffeth up, but love buildeth up.”
Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth. 2 And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know. 1 Cor 8:1-2 (KJV)
This verse is not against education, but it is against what we call Academic Arrogance. Information is not the same as wisdom. Wisdom is the proper use of knowledge. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom. Respect and trust in God and Jesus Christ is the basis for all true wisdom.
7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. Prov 1:7 (KJV)
5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God. 6 For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. Prov 2:5-6 (KJV)
13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate. 14 Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength. Prov 8:13-14 (KJV)
9 Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning. 10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. Prov 9:9-10 (KJV)
15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. Eph 5:15-17 (KJV)
Paul said that understanding what the “will of the Lord is” is wisdom.
May you be wise unto salvation and then wise unto service:
15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. 2 Tim 3:15-17 (KJV)
May God bless your today and forever and may this biblical benediction bless your today.
24 The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: 25 The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: 26 The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. Num 6:24-26 (KJV)
